Yan (炎）

Yan is the second sample chapter of an ongoing graphic narrative series, created digitally using Clip Studio Paint. Through sequential storytelling and cinematic composition, the project explores themes of resolve, agency, and moral conviction, questioning what truly drives human action. Are individuals guided by personal will, shaped by obligations to others, or influenced by forces beyond themselves? Yan examines the tension between duty and autonomy, while confronting the unsettling question of whether conviction, responsibility, or ambition can ever justify acts of violence.
